Shiba Inu re-enters top 10, ousting Litecoin

Since the last wMarket report, the cryptocurrency market cap saw net outflows of $20.07 billion and currently stands at $808.07 billion — down 2.4%.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, Bitcoin and Ethereum’s market cap fell 1.7% and 2.4%  to $322.17 billion and $144.92 billion, respectively.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies posted a mixed performance over the last 24 hours. Shiba Inu leads the gainers, growing 1.2% to oust Litecoin from the listing. In contrast, XRP recorded the biggest losses, down 2.7%.

The market caps of Tether (USDT) and  USD Coin (USDC) saw slight increases to $66.17 billion and $44.97 billion, respectively. Meanwhile, BinanceUSD’s (BUSD) market cap fell slightly to $18.44 billion over the reporting period.

Bitcoin

Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin grew 0.1% to trade at $16,750 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance rose to 39.9% from 39.57%.

Since the weekend, the price of BTC recorded a net loss, bottoming at $16,530 on Friday evening (ET). The ensuing bounce was followed by a period of flat trading.

Ethereum

Ethereum recorded a gain of 0.1% over the last 24 hours to trade at $1,185 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance stayed flat at 17.9% over the reporting period.

The price performance of ETH mirrored Bitcoin. Having bottomed at $1,155 on Friday evening (ET,) the second-largest cryptocurrency also reverted to a flat trading pattern.

Mdex

MDX increased 13.7% to $0.08238 as of press time. No new fundamental developments were noted. Its market cap stood at $77.04 million.

Creditcoin

CTC rose by 11.7% in the last 24 hours to $0.50307. Its market cap stood at $104.26 million.

VGX gained 8.5% over the reporting period to trade at $0.31314 as of press time. Binance signaled its interest in acquiring the bankrupt platform weeks ago. Its market cap stood at $87.2 million.
