Dogecoin down as Musk reconsiders Twitter CEO position

Over the last 24 hours, the cryptocurrency market cap saw net inflows of $3.29 billion and currently stands at $811.36 billion — up 0.4%.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin and Ethereum’s market cap grew 0.4% and 2.4%  to $323.73 billion and $148.44 billion, respectively.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies posted a mixed performance over the last 24 hours. Litecoin re-enters the top 10, ousting Shiba Inu, with 2.6% gains to $65.23. In contrast, Dogecoin posted the most significant losses, down 3.7%, as Elon Musk considered resigning from the Twitter CEO position.

Over the reporting period, the market cap of Tether (USDT) recorded marginal gains to $66.22 billion. Meanwhile, USD Coin (USDC) and BinanceUSD (BUSD) saw slight decreases to $44.58 billion and $18.35 billion, respectively.

Bitcoin

Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin grew 0.4% to trade at $16,816 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance stayed flat at 39.9%.

During the reporting period, the leading cryptocurrency bottomed at $16,260 on Monday evening (ET.) Bulls lifted the BTC price as high as $16,882 before giving up some of those gains.

Ethereum

Ethereum recorded a gain of 2.4% over the last 24 hours to trade at $1,213 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance rose to 18.3% from 17.9% over the reporting period.

The price performance of ETH saw the second-largest token bottom at $1,151 on Monday evening (ET.) ETH then posted steady gains to top out at $1,220 around 06:00.
